This is a little late to be posted, but I just received the picture from Kate's dance teacher. Miss Amy (her dance teacher) had a Valentine Dance for the girls. They brought their Dad and danced, played games and had refreshments. Kate had a great time!

{ARIZONA} SPRING TRAINING & GRANDMA COLLEEN

Greg and I recently took the boys to experience Spring Training in Arizona. This is something Greg has always wanted to do. We had such a great time! We stayed with our friends, Pam and Ryan and were able to visit with Grandma Colleen, Hal and Blake.

Although Pam and Ryan have all girls and we only had the boys, the kids got along great! They swam everyday, played outside and jumped on the tramp. They especially loved swimming at Colleen and Hal's because he spoiled them with drinks and snacks!

We all went to a baseball game and the boys went to two. Greg was able to golf and fish and I went to a movie and shopping with Pam. The boys brought home lots of cool Diamondbacks, Cardinals and ASU clothing. It was fun to have time with them and spoil them a bit! Kate stayed with Grandma Sue and Grandma Oborn and got to do a lot of fun stuff!

Night Skiing
The other night, me, Dalton, Preston and Ashlyn went skiing. The snow was GREAT and we had such a good time! Ashlyn has had a broken wrist so I was really nervous but she did really good. The boys did awesome!! I know most people don't agree...but I am really enjoying all this snow!!

Me and Kate had a great time at her field trip to Pizza Man. They were able to learn how the dough is made, make their own pizza and bread sticks. The best part.... we took it all home to eat!

MORE SNOW
We had a surprise snow storm last weekend that brought A LOT of great new snow. Dalton went sledding with his buddies the first day, then I took them and Kate the next day. We found a great park and the kids had a great time! The weather was sunny and beautiful after the big storm!
I told Dalton they do "extreme sledding" because they all came away with lots of bumps and bruises! He was sore for days!

{VALENTINE DANCE}
The sixth grade at Plain City Elementary had their annual Valentine dance this year. Filling out their dance card the week before is a huge event. Ty got to dance with all the girls he wanted to, participated in the dance contest and even win a prize! They have all the kids dress up in 50's style and looked super cool!
I was so proud of Ty because he told every girl he danced with thank you for dancing with him. His teacher even had to make changes to his dance card because she knew he would be kind to a girl who didn't get her dance card completely filled out. Ty is a nice kid and has some great friends! I cannot believe he will be in Junior High next year!
TOADS FUN ZONE
For Christmas this year, the kids all got passes to Toads Fun Zone. It has been the best gift ever! They have unlimited go-carts, laser tag, mini golf, batting cages, and a discount on games. The boys, as well as Kate, have spent hours playing laser tag. A few warm days in January gave them the chance to ride the go-carts too! Almost all their friends have passes and Grandma Sue too! These pics are Ty, Jake, Preston and Kate racing.

5th Grade Ski Day!
Dalton's class had their field trip to Snowbasin last week. Snowbasin hosts all fifth graders, provides lessons and rentals. It's such a great opportunity for the kids. We have had such a bad inversion in Northern Utah right now, but up in the Mountains it was a beautiful day! It was so warm that we ended up taking off layers and skiing without gloves! Dalton's teacher who has been on maternity came up for the day and Dalton had a great time skiing with her too. (I think I took second place when she arrived!) I am going to be really sad when the boys go to Junior High. I will really miss these fun times with all the cute kids in the class!

*****SKI DAY*****
Ty, Dalton and I went skiing at Powder Mountain last weekend. It was my first time this year, but Ty has been going up a lot with his friends. He got a ski pass for Christmas and has had a great time! Dalt went up once with Ty but this was our first time together. It was a great day!
(Disclaimer:Ty is not pictured due to the fact that he is almost a teenager and is too cool for pics! Ugh!)

Our last Christmas Party of the year was at Grandma and Grandpa Mont's. Lindsay and Natalie were in town and it is always fun to see them. It's tradition to play "The Beatles" Rock Band. We had a great time!

After opening gifts, we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's for breakfast. We had a great time! Kate and Dalton played "Just Dance" and Mom and Dad took time to rest! Ty played games with Grandma and the cousins.
Christmas Day 2010
Despite the fact that it was WARM on Christmas with no SNOW, we had a wonderful Christmas day. All the kids got bikes and scooters, so the weather was perfect for riding! Ty's favorite thing was his Yankee's golf bag. Dalton's favorite was his Razor trick bike, and Kate's favorite gift was her Barbie bike.
We always spend Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Oborn's house. We have great food, games, gifts and the re-enactment of the Nativity. We had a great night and the kids loved the gifts from Grandma and Grandpa!
As tradition goes, the kids always open one gift from Mom and Dad on Christmas Eve....and it is usually pajamas. This year, we added the gift from their brother and sister. It seemed more special because it wasn't lost in the craziness of Christmas day. They picked out some great gifts for each other and were really excited to watch them open them up. Dalton got a Wii game, Kate got a Sing-a-ma-jig, and Ty got a Colts football.

Kate's Christmas Preschool Program went very well this year. She actually sang and participated a little and was really excited to go! Both her Grandparents came and Mom made it on a little break from work (I am in my pajama's because it was PJ day at work). What a fun day!
