Our new playground

Best friends..Dalton & Kate

What's happening...
Just an update on our life. Ty and Dalton are both playing baseball now so our lives are going to be crazy for the next few months. Thanks to good teammates and neighbors, we are able to get kids where they need to be. How do people have more than a few kids in activities at the same time!!
Kate just finished Kindermusik for the year and had a fun party at the Chugg farm. Miss Susan is such a great teacher!! Kate finally got a playground this weekend. I found one on KSL and thanks to a lot of friends we were able to get it to our house. (It was a tad bit heavier than I thought it would be) It was all worth it, though, because the kids (even the big ones) have played on it non stop!
We found a good home for our hamster, so that is one less thing Mom has to take care of. Dalton wanted to make sure it wasn't going to a home for snake food and I made sure of that!!

Easter 2009
Easter was very exciting for Kate this year. She played "hide the egg" with Ty and Dalton for a week before Easter so she was ready!! I think she is funny because at the Plain City egg hunt, she looked through the grass for the kind of candy she liked rather than just grab it all. I guess she like quality rather than quantity. This was Ty's first year that he was kind of too old for the egg hunts, so he went to Bear Lake with the Rhees' for a few days and came back for Easter Sunday. Dalton enjoyed his last year at the Plain City hunt and then went to Grandma Oborns for a Easter party. We enjoyed breakfast on Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa Oborn and a fun egg hunt. On Sunday, we had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's and another egg hunt. The kids got more candy than they could eat and had a great time!

Looking For a New Home
I am looking for a new home. My playmates have become bored of me and moved on. I am hoping there are some new kids out there who would like a hamster in their home. I am very nice (never bitten), sleep a lot, come with my own room and exercise equipment. I will gladly go by whatever you would like to call me. Currently, I am going by "Hammy" or "Okur" . Please leave us a message if you would like me to become a part of your family! PLEASE!

Finally...a day at the park!
We had two beautiful days this week, so me and Kate took advantage of it and went to the park both days. On Monday, we went to the park with Allie, her kids and Grandma Oborn. It was so nice and the kids loved getting some fresh air. Unfortunately, back to snow by Wednesday. I'm just glad we enjoyed while we had the chance!

Family Pictures...Now That's A Lot of Work!

For my Mom's birthday this year she asked us to get family pictures taken. Kyle is leaving on a mission and it's been three years since the last one, so we thought it was a good time. Well, I think you just have to have a sense of humor when it comes to this. I just had to post one of our "tries" because looking back on it, it is just funny. Dylan was just not happy at this moment and I don't think Kate smiled for a single picture. I'm just hoping the photographer can get us a few good ones for my Mom. Happy birthday Mom!

RaNdOm RaMbLiNgS FrOm kAtE
Kate is at the age where everyday you just laugh at the things that come out of her mouth. I wish I would have had a blog when Ty and Dalton were little because the pieces of paper I wrote their cute things down on are lost somewhere in storage. Anyway, here a few of the new ones from Kate.
  • Kate loves plain waffles, plain cheeseburgers, etc. So, the other day she was looking at herself in the mirror making faces. She yelled at me to come in and see her new face. "Mom, look - this is my plain face!" No frills, just her plain face!
  • Kate's new favorite thing is having friends over to play just like her brothers. She wakes up and begins asking if we can call friends. Last Saturday, we tried calling several of her friends but no one was home. She was so sad! After a while, she came into the room and said, "Mom, I have a great idea. We can just e-mail my friends to come over. That's a good idea, huh Mom?" I told her it was a good idea, but we needed their e-mail address. She assured me we could just call their Moms and they would tell us. Good thinking Kate!
  • Last week Kate went over to her friend, Page's house. After a while she came back to change her shoes so they could play on Page's "playground". She said, "Page, how much did your playground cost?" Page said, "Just twenty pounds." Kate was so excited! "Mom it's just twenty pounds, we can buy one for twenty pounds, huh?"
